And it rained and rained but as often happens the rains brightened the environment and creating opportunities for a special closeness in images.

This a favorite photo of Kara just before the cereomny on her wedding day.  Her face, so close, appears to be a painting of the feelings so close to the surface.

Often I judge art by how long I want to look at it and this image draws me in for more time and thought.

Tomorrow it will be 28 years that my father passed away. Thinking of him, his life and how losing him changed my world I find as in every day a reminder of the importance of time, kindness, compassion, love and patience with all of life.  Life is totally about the moment, about living and being present.  All the things that seem big today are most often quite small.  It really is about this moment, reaching out to whoever is there in our presence, sharing kindness with all, being patient, feeling compassion, being understanding and loving.  We all deserve such treatment, we should all give such treatment and we should all honor such treatment.

.

There are always opportunities to share all that is great in accordance with the big picture of love, kindness and understanding.

 .

I’ve felt great lose yet still do not understand the whys of each happening.  What I know is the importance of now and to be, act and share what we want in life.  If you want love, give love.  If you want understanding, share understanding.  If you want peace, give peace to others.  Know that in each step we are creating our future – choose what is loving, peaceful, kind, understanding and compassionate.

.

For me, with photography, with the moment it’s about being present, focused and living fully.  This is where I create.

It’s been a great experience yet again with a move in my life.  Feeling a bit of gypsy spirit it’s as if the wind blows and I’m off in a new direction.

.

Getting a bit older I must admit I’m more measured with my research and choices of where to live.  Still though I find it’s the same urge to not only see what’s over the next mountain or around the next corner but to live in new places and connect with that area’s people, lands and sky.  This time the feeling is quite strong and the stay may be a good deal longer.

.

This time it’s Napa California.  I’m home now in every sense of the word and I do not foresee changes, I see many Northern California photos being created.  Cheers to the new life explorations and experiences.
