“Earth laughs in flowers.” Ralph Waldo Emerson. Or, in this case, bud break on the vines at Alpha Omega Winery in Rutherford.   Happy Earth Day! Be good to the Earth, be good to yourself.

Very cool old vines in Rutherford. The vines are coming alive with green and I’m starting to see great possibilities for images in the coming weeks.

Beautiful rain today, a nice soaking rain. The pouring rain drove me into Cook in St Helena for lunch, oh darn, but afterwards the rain had stopped and I was able to shoot. Here is a photo of wet vines with the bud break of leaves. The beginning of an amazing glass of Napa Valley wine.

Opening this blog log I laughed at the term of spring break for bud break on the vines. Saturday evening humor after editing…. Okay, so this shot is from Thursday evening sunset when I shot into the sun and across the new leaves towards glowing leaves in the distance. Here a horizontal crop to emphasize the distant glow.
