This is the cabin where I stayed this week while shooting in the Snowy Range Mountains of Wyoming. The sound of the creek was amazing! Also a photo of Lake Marie at sunrise, yes there is still lots of snow above 10,000 feet.

These photos were taken recently not too far from my home, vineyards in the Oak Knoll AVA. It was sunset time as I watched light, shot first with the light and then, I drove a short distance to another location and shot into the setting sun and the great views of the western sky.

Have you ever known someone who was always happy, always smiling? I mean not just most of the time but all the time, like there was no other way of life than to smile and share the joy of life. There truly are people like that and one was my nephew Brandon. I tried this evening to think of one time when I could possibly remember him not smiling and I just could not – the smile was always there, always present. Would we, could we, all be so lucky to live life so happily, present and greatly appreciative of just living? Brandon lived in a way that was simple and large, engulfing way more than his years, surpassing all the travels possible, edging on bliss every moment of his short life. Brandon, I love you, I’ll miss you, and I’ll do all I can to follow your lead to live so fully, so present, so boundless, so joyfully, so happily, so open to all the joys of this wonderful life we are given.
