This photo was taken yesterday and if you ask me, yes, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Temps are great, low 60’s in the day, and the valley is green with grasses and now mustard in the vineyards.

Still catching up with sharing shooting; these photos taken Saturday at Hillside Vineyard, just south of Yountville. It’s really really cold now so chances are this was the end of shooting autumn. Such vibrant red against the green of the grass made it feel, well, very Christmas like.

Often when I head out the door here in Napa I grab cameras for the ride and keep an eye on light and transition of shadows and changes in clouds. Last week I made a side trip to Morisoli Vineyard in Rutherford to check color and found the ends of the rows still covered in leaves and with color. Here two photos from Morisoli.

Allison and Justin had eloped to Bora Bora in early November and were married there in a traditional Polynesian ceremony. On Thanksgiving Day they shared a ceremony with family and friends in a small wedding at a private home in the hills of Sonoma. Their ceremony planning in Sonoma was perfectly lovely from their flowers and attire, to location in the hills and to the comfortable simplicity at every step of their day.

A few photos to share – one as they walked together towards some intensely textured moss covered trees and in a moment of bliss when Justin swept Allison into his arms while walking towards their cocktail party and guests. Very cool couple with very cool wedding celebrations in French Polynesia and in Sonoma.
