Still catching up with editing and the shoots of last week and here a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge taken from the Marin Headlands. Winds were really blowing from the hills and the fog was in constant flux over the bridge, bay and the City, well, gone in the dense fog.

This is the cabin where I stayed this week while shooting in the Snowy Range Mountains of Wyoming. The sound of the creek was amazing! Also a photo of Lake Marie at sunrise, yes there is still lots of snow above 10,000 feet.

Cabernet leaves Napa Valley

These photos were taken recently not too far from my home, vineyards in the Oak Knoll AVA. It was sunset time as I watched light, shot first with the light and then, I drove a short distance to another location and shot into the setting sun and the great views of the western sky.

Sunrise yesterday morning was so clear and light was simply warm within the photos of vines and leaves.

Grape leaves and vines in spring Napa Valley

Sunday when I was biking around the St Helena area I rode by this vineyard and as it was late in the day I saw the reflective color and light in the autumn leaves. Yesterday I returned, camera in hand, and shot the new grass and old vines.

This morning it was a bit chilly but sunrise was great at Heart 6 Ranch in Moran. Below Jesse Rodenbough, the ranch manager, rides towards the gathered horses in the opening light of morning with the Tetons in the distance. I love photos like this, you can feel the quiet and stillness of morning and on this particular day see the high waters of the Buffalo Fork river that’s pushing into the valley.

A great location near Moose Wyoming and where I’ve shoot a few times before. Yesterday the light was a bit flat so I’ll head back later today.

I’m on the road right now in Wyoming, Wapiti to be exact, and I’ve been shooting at Rimrock Ranch. To say it beautiful would be an understatement and for now, with little time, I’ll just share a few photos from this morning as rider gathered horses at the ranch.

Sunset last evening was in the Carneros area of Napa where vineyards stretch along seemingly every mile. The drive was beautiful, the light a bit flat in the still lingering heat of the day but I was able to capture this one photo that was of interest.

It’s a great location and I’ll return to shoot again as I know the shot would have been better with a tripod and standing on my car for a bit of elevation.

More or less last evening was a scouting shoot for future photos it was also a time to simply drink in what is about to be come my home – Napa.
