Very cool Erin and Simon are from DC, Simon and family from Australia, and were married at the Meritage Resort.  In this photo they are high above the resort and valley and among the vines.

Agnes and Torsten are from Germany but choose to marry in San Francisco – another awesome wedding.  Just the two of them and two close friends from NYC.  This photo was taken in Sausalito, where we went in search of warmer temperatures, and where they celebrated with dinner.

Krista met Dani while visiting Spain…six years later married and now living in Napa.  Fun wedding!

Last weekend, while cool and breezy on the coast, was beautiful for Kristina and Dave who were married at Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Pebble Beach.

Another destination wedding, this time still in Colorado and in Estes Park, the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park.  Beautiful Tiffany and Max near Lilly Lake with a clouds filled sky.

Two weeks ago I photographed a destination wedding in Colorado Springs and a wedding a most meaningful and filled with emotion.

Not sharing more than to say there was a passing in the family the week of the wedding I will say that at such a time of deep grief there was the bigger picture of life, love and family.  Actually there are no words to describe the day, the emotion, the outpouring of love and support and the great blessing of love.

This very special will always be in my heart.

Jennifer and Mike in the Garden of the Gods…

With the warmth of evening light Steve and Alison walk a pathway at Villa del Lago, located in the hills above Lake Hennessey in Napa Valley.  Their very private wedding celebration was perfectly set at this lovely location and shared by the closest of family.

Wedding day photos happen, in each moment, whether aware or not, and it is my preference to capture what is natural in the day. All the joy, the bliss, the love, emotion and the connections with family and friends. This week as the website was being adjusted and images changed I saw this photo of a bride’s sister; she was simply waiting on her sister at Stanford University – waiting in lovely light and looking so beautiful in the moment.

Allison and Justin had eloped to Bora Bora in early November and were married there in a traditional Polynesian ceremony. On Thanksgiving Day they shared a ceremony with family and friends in a small wedding at a private home in the hills of Sonoma. Their ceremony planning in Sonoma was perfectly lovely from their flowers and attire, to location in the hills and to the comfortable simplicity at every step of their day.
